Family & Friends are most important to me!

I am very fortunate that throughout my life I have been surrounded by quality people who I consider friends. I have far more friends and acquantances than are mentioned on this page. The individuals listed below are my closest friends and have stood the test of time. For the most part, I have not included here friends that I work with and have business relationship. Many of them! are mentioned in the DAM Good! section of my site.

Pictures Note: While building this site, I discovered that I am great at taking pictures while traveling, but not as good when doing regular activities with family and friends. The reality is, I am short of digital pictures of many people that are close to me. In the future I plan on getting better at taking those important pictures.

Poker Buddies
For the most part my closest friends participate in a monthly poker group that was formed after high school and is still going strong today.  The group consists of Chris Barker, Mike Black, Dave & Connie Iverson (not pictured yet), Jamie & Carla Leckie, Cliff Petree, and Toby & Stephanie Wardrip.

Jamie and I purchased season tickets for the Chargers in 1993. Today many in the poker group also attend the Charger games giving us another excellent outlet during football season to get together.

I would like to note that there is another poker group of slightly older gentleman that was formed by Jamie's father, Jim. They are not pictured here, but are all great individuals and I appreciate their friendship.

Clark Binley
Clark and I met in theater in high school. After we became friends we discovered that his father Elliott and mine had worked together many years before and were friends. Unfortunately, Elliott recently passed away from cancer.

After high school my friendship with Clark continued as we discovered that we both have a love for fishing. We have spent many days and nights bobbing around on a boat on both lakes and at sea attempting to catch "the big one." In the last few years we have added hunting to the list of activities that we enjoy together.

I'm very proud of Clark's professional accomplishments. Shortly after high school Clark became an emergency medical technician and later a paramedic. He now is a Paramedic Professor at South Western Junior College.

Clark gets a turkey.

Tony and Jen Reed
I first meet Tony as "Shadow Walker," my camp counselor at Boy Scouts Indian Camp. That was the summer of 1987, before my freshman year in high school. In the fall we ended up in theater together at Granite Hills High School.

Tony and I have much in common. Over the years we have frequently found work for each other in acting and the entertainment business. As street performers making balloons we have worked at Seaport Village in San Diego, Fisherman's Warf in San Francisco, and the parade routes of New Orleans during Mardi Gras.

Tony and his beautiful wife, Jen, now reside in Las Vegas and I miss them both very much. However, they provide a good excuse to go to Sin City.

Other Friends

Greg Crowder
I first met Greg while taking a screen acting class in 1997. Shortly after that Greg moved to Los Angeles. On many occasions he provided a couch for me to crash on as I went up to L.A. for auditions or just to get away for a day or two. Since moving to L.A., Greg has become an industry leader in head shot photography for actors. He has also written and produced several short films and in the fall of 2008 he is scheduled to have his first feature film, Cactus, produced.

Greg's family owns the Escondido Swap Meet and they have hired me many times over the years to make balloons for the kids at the swap meet.

Tracy Hayes
I meet Tracy when I took Carnival's Eastern Caribbean cruise in 2005. She was a highlight of the cruise and we have maintained a friendship ever since. At that time I was ignorant of web design and she created my MySpace page for me.

Tracy is fun, vivacious, and loves nights out on the town listening to classic rock and drinking beer. She is single and seeking. So guys, if you live in New Jersey, have a job and a car, and are interested, e-mail me and I will pass it along to her.

Jeff Menaker
Jeff and I met in 1996 at the British American Drama Academy at Oxford, England. Jeff and I share a love for theater, baseball, and fantasy football. I tip my cap to Jeff's pursuit of professional theater. He now produces Citizen Pell, a small off-Broadway equity theater in New York.

Sara Morrison
Sara and I were a couple for three years. I am glad that we have been able to maintain our friendship after we went our separate ways. She is now married and I wish her the best with that. Sara works professionally as the Special Events Coordinator for the Girl Scouts of San Diego.

Jay & Rachel Oliphant
Jay and I met doing theater in high school. Jay now lives in Las Vegas with his wife, Rachel, and their son. Yet another creditable excuse to go to Vegas ;-).

Nova Rogers
Nova and I met doing theater in high school. Our friendship has grown closer over the years as we have been there for each other several times over the years for emotional support.

Nova's father and brother are both excellent wood crafters and are featured in my DAM Good section.  Nova's mother is the executive receptionist for the Chargers.

Christie Wright Sampson
Christie and I met doing theater in high school. She rapidly became my first major crush, yet it was not meant to be. However, I did get to take her to my senior prom. Over the years Christie and I have enjoyed frequent debates over religion and politics.  I'm convinced that for the most part we believe the same things, we just look at them differently.

I am proud of Christie's accomplishments as a single mom. She got married young and, unfortunately, it did not work out. But she has two beautiful boys to show for it, Bobby and Caleb. After her divorce, Christie went back to school to become a labor and delivery nurse to support her family and has done an excellent job.
